Yes, there's this Stephanie Koh talking about why she's not proud to be a Singaporean.

For some points of her videos, I DO AGREE.
But that doesn't make me hate or not proud of Singapore.

Personally, I think that Singapore isn't that bad?
Whenever I travel overseas, I do miss Singapore.
The cleanliness, the safety, the people there and my family.
Yes, I do agree that the education system is crazy.
(I'm gonna side track to parenting for a moment.)

Just looking at the Primary school kids make me feel sad for them to handle such huge amount of stress from their parents and school.
I don't hate it very much though.
I was from neighbouring schools (Primary and Secondary), went to Polytechnic and then University.
I'm pretty much a lucky kid?
My parents does not force me to study hard.
They are those kind, "As long as you complete your studies, result is not important"
Complete as in, finish at least ITE or Polytechnic.
Yes, they don't expect much from their kids. They just want us to be happy.
I'm not trying to blame anyone's parent for being strict and demanding.
I believe everything there's pros and cons?
Nothing is one sided.
(Well, the con about my parents being so nice to me is that I'm super lack of self-discipline. I'm supposed to be dong my tutorials. LOL)

Singapore isn't that bad, except everything here is quite expensive.
If you use hate for your country, then I suggest you should migrate.

I don't extremely love Singapore.
But no matter what, I WILL NEVER HATE MY OWN COUNTRY.
Come on, here is where you met your friends, be with your family and where you grew up.

I'm proud to be a Singaporean because,
IT'S MY FREAKING COUNTRY.

You know, sometimes when you love someone you can't list out why you love them?
This is exactly how I feel.
And if everyone has flaws, why can't a country has it's flaws?
If no one is perfect and a country is being built up by humans, isn't that gonna be filled with some flaws?
